Kindness
Kindness focuses on our actions; Goodness should describe our motives; and Gentleness should describe the manner in which we handle people.
Goodness
Goodness is uprightness in character that does the right thing for the right reason, namely a desire to please God and express God’s love to others.
Gentleness
Gentleness is meekness—power under control—that treats others with tender sensitivity and humbly endures unkindness and injury with patience.
What Does the Bible Teach About Kindness, Goodness and Gentleness?
- The LORD is good (Nahum 1:7)
- Gentle words promote peace (Prov. 15:1)
- Kindness meets human need (Ruth 2:19-23)
- Kindness will be richly rewarded (Luke 6:27-36)
- God will express His kindness to you forever (Eph. 2:4-7)
- God created you to do good works (Eph. 2:10)
