Purpose: Our worship ministry focuses on practicing genuine, authentic worship from our hearts in alignment with biblical principles (Romans 12:1-2; Philippians 4:16; Hebrews 13:15-17; Matthew 6:1-6; Hebrews 10:19-25).
Vision: Our vision is to provide excellent leadership through the Music Arts. Inspiring and leading individuals to worship God, to understand spiritual truths, and live in greater obedience to Him through musical worship. We also seek to foster a worshipful lifestyle both outside of the church as well as within the church building.
Mission: We are selective about membership of our Worship Arts Team, with key expectations including:
- Spiritual Maturity: A growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Servant’s Heart: Humble service focusing on God’s glory, not personal recognition.
- Team Player: Collaboration and unity in worship leadership.
- Strive for Excellence, Not Perfection: Efforts for God’s glory and openness
- to constructive feedback.
The Worship Team Expectations: To be considered for membership you must:
- Be a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, as demonstrated in word and action.
- Willingness to use The Planning Center Online app and the Music Stand app (available for free).
- You must be proficient with your instrument and could learn and practice your parts of each song (by each using the provided audio examples) by ear and/or reading lead sheet/chord charts (available through Planning Center Online, Music Stand app) before scheduled rehearsals.
- Be willing and available to attend all mandatory rehearsals.
- Attend and participate in all (as possible) church services when not scheduled for the team.
- Be a collaborator – humbly receive direction, guidance, and coaching from the director/band leader.
