Overview

The book of Psalms expresses the full range of human emotions, from heart wrenching despair to triumphant praise. A relationship with the LORD of the universe does not preclude experiences of anger, guilt, frustration or soul searching questions, even as the believer offers up profound expressions of faith and praise. Central to all the psalms is the living God, who is the refuge of all who trust in Him.

The righteous do not…

  • walk in the counsel of the wicked
  • stand in the way of sinners
  • sit in the seat of scoffers

The righteous do…

  • delight in the law of the LORD
  • meditate on His law day and night

The righteous are like a tree…

  • planted by streams of water
  • that yields fruit in season
  • that does not wither

The righteous will…

  • prosper

The wicked are like…

  • wind-driven chaff

The wicked will not…

  • stand in the judgment
  • stand with the righteous

The wicked will…

  • perish
