BIBLICAL DISCIPLESHIP

The most important decision a person can make in this life is to follow Jesus. He calls us to follow Him by coming to Him, imitating Him and helping others to follow Him. We grow as His disciples by practicing biblical spiritual disciplines. Relying on the unchanging Word of God, we must face the challenges to discipleship presented by our changing culture. Trusting in His sovereign power and authority, we can be faithful to His command to make disciples of all peoples, baptizing them and teaching them to obey all Jesus has commanded.

Part 1: The Call to Discipleship

Jesus calls people to follow Him and help others to follow Him.

Part 2: The Nature of Discipleship

Message 1: Come and Die that You Might Live

Those who would follow Christ must deny themselves, take up their cross and follow Him.

Those who would follow Christ must put Him before anyone or anything else.

Part 2: The Nature of Discipleship

Message 3: The Imitation of Christ

A disciple of Jesus seeks to imitate Jesus in every way.

Part 3: Stages of Discipleship

A disciple responds to the call of Jesus, follows Jesus, helps others follow Jesus and bears much fruit for the glory of Jesus.

Part 4: Disciplines of Discipleship

Message 1: Bible Intake, Prayer & Worship

A disciple practices spiritual disciplines for the purpose of Godliness.

Part 4: Disciplines of Discipleship

Message 2: Evangelism, Serving & Stewardship

A disciple practices spiritual disciplines for the purpose of Godliness.

Part 4: Disciplines of Discipleship

Message 3: Fasting, Silence, Journaling, Learning & Perseverance

A disciple practices spiritual disciplines for the purpose of Godliness.

Part 5: Contemporary Challenges to Discipleship

Message 1: Inflated, Hated & Dividing

In response to demographic changes and cultural challenges, the Scriptures call the American evangelical church to love, do good and practice biblical unity.

Part 5: Contemporary Challenges to Discipleship

Message 2: Bankrupt, Bleeding & Sputtering
