From the opening words of Genesis to the closing hope of the Prophets, the Old Testament tells one unified story: God’s gracious plan to redeem a broken people and restore a fallen world. In the books of history, we see God acting in real time – calling, covenanting, rescuing, and remaining faithful even when His people are not. In the poetry, we hear the heart of redeemed people learning to trust, lament, repent, and praise the God who saves. In the prophets, we are given God’s divine commentary on history – calling His people back to Himself and pointing forward to a coming King and a new covenant. Together, these Scriptures form the foundation of our Christian faith, revealing the character, purposes, and promises of God. And ultimately, they lead us to Christ, in whom every promise finds its “Yes,” every shadow finds its substance, and every hope finds its fulfillment.
